The Slow Death
At one point Urdu was the spoken language in Indian Subcontinent. However, in the post colonial era there has been constant decline . One of the key reason is the lack of political support and focus on English as the primary languge of communication.
What Is Being Done
There is a dedicated effort to reach to community leaders who can influence to political partners to bring Urdu as one of the mainstream language. These community leaders are educators, literary influencers, and socially active linguists.
